Community guidelines

Rivyra is for sharing what you make and following what you care about. These are the rules that keep it usable for everyone.

Draft. This text is awaiting review by Rivyra's owner and is not yet in force.

Be yourself, not someone else

  • Do not pretend to be another person, a company or Rivyra itself.
  • Do not run accounts whose purpose is spam, fake engagement or misleading people.

Do not harm people

  • No threats, harassment, or calling on others to target someone.
  • No hatred towards people for who they are.
  • Do not share someone's private details, or intimate pictures of anyone, without their consent.
  • Nothing that sexualises or endangers children. Ever.

Post what you may post

  • Share your own work, or work you have permission to share.
  • Nothing illegal, and nothing that helps someone do serious harm.

What you can do

  • Report a post, a comment, an account, or a message you received, from its menu. Rivyra staff review reports and can remove content, warn an account or suspend it. You are told when that happens to you, with the category of the reason, and you can appeal each decision once.
  • Block an account and neither of you sees the other anywhere on Rivyra.
  • Mute an account to keep it out of your feeds. It is not told.
  • Mark a post as not interested to hide it and see fewer like it.

Not yet decided

  • Who reviews reports and how quickly.
  • Who decides an appeal. Today the person who took an action can also decide the appeal against it.
